Waltham elects Elizabeth AlJammal to School Committee

Waltham votes to elect Elizabeth AlJammal to School Committee. The City Council and School Committee, convening jointly on January 20, voted 15-4 to elect AlJammal to a three-year term ending in 2028, filling a vacancy on the panel. Mayor McCarthy used the occasion to recognize the tenure of departing School Committee member Margie Donnelly.

Candidate Carolina Lara received 4 votes. AlJammal was immediately sworn in by Clerk Joseph Vizard.
