Waltham City Council Refers FY2027 Budgets to Finance Committee

Waltham City Council accepts Mayor McCarthy's FY2027 spending plans totaling nearly 399 million dollars. The Council referred the 269 million 820 thousand 972 dollar Municipal Budget and 129 million 101 thousand 849 dollar School Budget to the Finance Committee, along with a 569 thousand 973 dollar Parking Meter Account appropriation. Revolving accounts for the City Clerk, Council on Aging, Planning, and Recreation Departments and Compensation Ordinance Amendments were also referred to committee.
All 15 councillors were present for the brief 5-minute session, which concluded with Councillor Katz, the Finance Committee Chairman, deferring release of meeting dates pending internal committee coordination.
