Waltham's City Council inaugurates new members and elects Robert G. Logan president. The Council voted January 4 to elect Logan; following his nomination, the body confirmed Randall J.
LeBlanc as Vice President with 11 of 15 votes supporting the appointment, while two opposed and two abstained. In the presidential race, John J. McLaughlin received six votes to Logan's eight.
The Council adopted its 2025 rules as 2026 procedures by voice vote, with Justice Ellen M. Caulo administering oaths to newly elected members.
