WALTHAM — The Waltham City Council approved a $5.1 million loan authorization for the Koutoujian Playground and Woerd Avenue Environmental Mitigation Project on a 14-0 rollcall vote, ending a tabled item from January 26. The Finance Committee brought six separate appropriations and transfers to approval, including $564,581 for the first-year contingency of a three-year school labor agreement with the Waltham Educators Association, $275,000 for conceptual design of the Farwell Street Bridge replacement, and $9,500 for pedestrian safety infrastructure on Trapelo Road. The Council voted unanimously by voice on all committee recommendations.
An executive session on an unspecified real estate matter lasted just over an hour, ending at 9:33 p.m.
