Waltham council closes out a 2017 Pelham Road safety project and confirms two board appointees. The City Council voted 12-0, with Brasco and LaCava absent, to accept easements finishing a Pelham Road intersection signalization project that Councilor McLaughlin traced to a 2017 traffic recommendation, saying he'd "haven't gotten any negative feedback from the neighborhood." Councilors also unanimously confirmed Deborah Catalanotti of 47 Laura Lane to the Council on Aging and Diane Lane to the Board of Cemetery Commissioners, with Councilor King telling Lane she had "big shoes to fill" in his former seat. A draft affordable housing application package was tabled at Councilor LaFosse's request pending confirmation it wouldn't affect funding timelines.
The council closed the session with another 12-0 roll call to enter executive session on possible real estate purchases at 14-16 Spring Street and 600 Main Street.
