Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 10, 2026

WALTHAM — The Waltham Conservation Commission voted 6-0 to authorize sign-off on a 962 Main Street redevelopment clearing the way for a Seasons Corner Market pending a City Council special permit. Attorney Pat Coyne told the board the project would abandon the site's auto service use while expanding convenience store space past 1,000 square feet, triggering the permit requirement. Chair William Doyle noted "really, this one is about signing off on the fact that it's not within our jurisdiction." The commission also approved a four-season room addition at 36 Kingston Road with a "positive 2B, negative 3" determination after Conservation Agent Julia Abbott found only a 94-square-foot increase in footprint, continued a 37,370-square-foot parking lot repaving at 231 Second Ave to September 24 pending Cambridge Water Department talks, and issued a certificate of compliance for completed patio work at 404 Wyman Street.

All votes at the meeting passed unanimously, 6-0.
