Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of April 30, 2026
WALTHAM — Zoning Board deferred its decision on a 140-unit Watch Factory housing development to June 2. Watch City Ventures' residential proposal drew divided public response: the Waltham Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Waltham Partnership, and Brelundi restaurant supported it, while residents including Gail Drakos and Laura Glazer objected to traffic impacts and building scale. The board approved a May 21 site visit with balloon visualization of the six-story building's height.
The petitioner proposed $4.2 million to the city's housing trust instead of including affordable units in the building.
