Conservation Commission · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Waltham Conservation Commission approves Fernald golf course with documentation condition. Chair Bill Doyle and the commission voted unanimously (5-0) to issue a positive order of conditions for a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course at 200 Trapelo Road, proposed by Kimberly Hebert of the Recreation Department and presented by David LaPointe of Beals & Thomas. The application requires the applicant to submit legal documentation for proceeding without a conservation restriction outstanding since a 2014 Community Preservation Act grant.

The project incorporates a 2,550-square-foot reduction in impervious area, removal of seven trees with 38 replacement or new plantings, and synthetic turf limited to tee boxes and greens only.
