Waltham Conservation Commission approves DCR erosion-control project, delays multi-family housing review.

Waltham Conservation Commission votes to finalize conditions for DCR Beaver Brook project. The commission approved delegating to staff and the Department of Conservation and Recreation the task of finalizing special conditions for a stone wall and walkway repaving project at Waverley Oaks Road designed to prevent ongoing erosion at a pedestrian bridge crossing; an order of conditions is expected at the January 22 meeting. The commission also continued a Notice of Intent for a multi-family residential complex at 245-265 Winter Street to February 5, and voted to authorize Chair Alexander Sbordone to sign a letter supporting the Charles River Watershed Association's call for stronger protections against combined sewer overflows.
