Waltham City Council approves fast-food special permit, secures $7.5 million in state grants

WALTHAM — City Council approves fast-food special permit, accepts $7.5 million in state grants. The council voted 14-0 to approve a special permit for TTGROUP Wallex, Inc.'s fast-food restaurant at 864 Lexington Street, ending a month-long recess. The city accepted $6 million from the MassWorks Program and $1.5 million from the HousingWorks Infrastructure Program for housing and infrastructure development.

Council also confirmed Kathleen B. McMenimen as an Associate Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and John J. O'Connor, III as Director of Veteran's Services and License Commission Assistant.
