WALTHAM — Traffic Commission approves $365,000 in signal repairs at eight city intersections. The Commission voted unanimously to fund improvements including detection repairs and signal head replacements at Lexington and Wal-Lex/Brookway, Lexington and Ridge/Lionel, Main and Stow, Lexington and Lake, Lexington and Stearns Hill, Main and Prospect Hill, and Main and Prospect, while rejecting Traffic Engineer Garvin's recommendation to rebid a full redesign at Beaver and Waverley Oaks Road. The Commission also approved four road-event permits for May, closed Moody Street on August 15 for a car show, approved a Linden Street crosswalk contingent on Bentley University funding, and reduced electric vehicle parking rates to $1 per hour.
