Waltham Ordinances Committee advances three RCI zoning amendments. The committee approved ordinance language for the RCI 1, 2, and 3 overlay district zoning amendments and voted to forward the zoning amendment map to the full city council on voice votes. Attorney Laughman stated the amendments will require a two-thirds vote in the full council.
Several other zoning matters including amendments at 181-185 Felton Street, 1432 Main Street, and 495 Lincoln Street were referred to the Law Department for further review and tabled pending legal opinion. The MICOL LLC special permit application at 220 Moody Street was also tabled after the committee requested detailed response from the petitioner.
