Historical Commission · Meeting of May 11, 2026

Waltham's Historical Commission unanimously backs two key preservation projects totaling just under $15,500. Commission Chairman Isaacson was unanimously authorized to write letters of support for a Community Preservation Committee application to restore Waltham's Revolutionary War monument at City Hall for $8,500 and an application to restore and digitize the First Book of Town Records (1737-1758) for just under $7,000. Jackie Bowdoin, a Daughters of the American Revolution member and descendant of Revolutionary War patriots, brought the monument application forward in honor of America's 250th birthday.
