Historical Commission · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Waltham Historical Commission clears dual residential developments. The Historical Commission unanimously approved phase four development at the Waltham Watch Factory at 241 Crescent Street, allowing 140 new residential units in a parking deck replacement, finding the site historically significant and determining the new design would not interfere with the historic structures. Attorney Michael Connors represented the owners.
Separately, the Commission found 20 Williams Street, vacant since at least 1956, not historically significant, clearing a four-unit residential project for special permit review. In administrative business, commissioners voted unanimously to request the mayor restore $1,000 to the FY2027 budget after a fiscal 2026 reduction.
