Economic and Community Development Committee tables rodent and mental health resolutions.

Economic & Community Development · Meeting of May 4, 2026

WALTHAM — Economic and Community Development Committee tables two resolutions following presentations on public health. The committee heard from City Engineer Robert Winn and Director of Public Health Michelle Feeley on a city-wide strategy to address rodent activity, approving Councillor Harris's request that Engineering submit a report on rodent control during construction projects. Dave Campisano and Stacy Ann from 22 Mohawks Corp., a veteran and first responder-led suicide prevention organization, presented on programs including Pups for Vets and First Responders and Airborne Retreats; the committee approved Harris's request to invite them back for a full presentation.

Both the rodent resolution and the Mental Health Awareness Resolution were tabled by voice vote.
