Council approves eminent domain request for park land, then tables matter

Waltham approves eminent domain request for Crescent Street open space. The City Council voted 11-2 to authorize the Mayor's pursuit of eminent domain on the vacant property at 67 Crescent Street, identified in the Community Development Plan for open space and increased public access to the Charles River; Councillors LaCava and LaFauci opposed. The matter was immediately tabled for further review.

The Council also unanimously approved a draft easement for a Department of Conservation and Resources flood station at 48R Pine Street.
