Waltham City Council approves $269.8 million fiscal 2027 budget. The council approved a $269,820,972 municipal budget and a $132,847,897 school budget, an increase of $3,746,048 from the mayor's initial recommendation. Councillor Harris requested the superintendent deliver detailed performance improvement metrics and strategic plans within five days.
The council also approved purchases of two Mt Walley Road properties for veterans' affordable housing by 12-0 votes and approved three zoning amendments for final reading on a 13-0 vote.
