Conservation Commission elects new officers as Sbordone steps down

WALTHAM — Conservation Commission reorganizes leadership ahead of spring project reviews. The board unanimously elected Bill Doyle as chair, Lisa Limonciello as vice-chair, and Gerard Dufromont as clerk for 2026-27, filling the vacancy created by outgoing Chair Alexander Sbordone's departure. Frank Fitzgerald became the commission's delegate to the Community Preservation Committee.
In project business, the commission closed the hearing and issued an order of conditions for Algonquin Gas Transmission's 1,988-foot natural gas line relocation at Tower Road after Cambridge Water Department confirmed no concerns. Two major projects—Watch City Ventures' 140-unit Waltham Watch Factory redevelopment at 241 Crescent Street and Bentley University's sidewalk construction at 400 Beaver Street—were continued to March 12 pending additional review.
