Conservation Commission approves conditions for Winter Street multi-family development.
Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 5, 2026
Waltham Conservation Commission issued a positive order of conditions for a multi-family residential complex at 245-265 Winter Street with no additional site-specific restrictions. Chair Alexander Sbordone and the commission unanimously approved the project, which involves only buffer-zone work and includes stormwater improvements that reduce runoff and enhance water quality; the pedestrian walkway was revised to meet ADA compliance, and the Waltham Fire Department confirmed satisfaction with access. Two other projects were continued: Algonquin Gas Transmission's approximately 1,988-linear-foot natural-gas-line relocation on Tower Road awaits Cambridge Water Department comments, and Watch City Ventures' 241 Crescent Street redevelopment supporting 140 residential units awaits the city Engineering Department review.
