WALTHAM — The Waltham Conservation Commission approved a Bentley University sidewalk project at 400 Beaver Street on March 26, subject to Massachusetts DEP stormwater and erosion-control conditions, in a hearing chaired by Vice Chair Lisa Limonciello after Chair Bill Doyle recused. The commission also unanimously issued seven Certificates of Compliance for the Watch City Ventures Crescent Street redevelopment, covering demolition, utilities, a parking garage, and two public docks on the Charles River. An invalid Certificate of Compliance was issued for a 130 Second Avenue site where no work has begun since 2001.
The Northeast region, including Waltham, was elevated to DEP Level 3 Critical Drought status.
