Waltham committee approved building wing naming, rejected broader request. The Licenses and Franchises Committee voted to name the west wing of 617 Lexington Street after Robert Eagle, a living resident, breaking with the traditional practice of posthumous naming. Committee Chair Vidal and Councillors Katz, Logan, and Tzioumis were present; Councillor Brasco was absent.
Councillor Logan noted the naming could proceed with unanimous support, and the motion was approved by voice vote. The committee then rejected a request to name the full building after Jack Daddona, with Councillor Tzioumis citing that the property is in flux and not the appropriate time for such commemoration.
