City Council · Meeting of April 6, 2026

Waltham City Council Committee of the Whole approves prior minutes and hears superintendent update. Superintendent Dr. Marisa Mendonsa told the council that Waltham High School administration is understaffed and that two additional assistant principals are required; she also reported that the school department's overall budget and staffing levels are inadequate.

Councillors Katz, Hanley, and Tzioumis asked questions about student scheduling, dropout rates, CTE program selection, transportation costs, and possible reuse of the former WHS building. The matter was filed after Dr. Mendonsa's remarks.
