City Council approves $6 million state growth grant

Waltham City Council unanimously approves $6 million MassWorks Program grant and $1.5 million HousingWorks grant with all 15 members present. Council votes 15-0 on capital approvals including $5.1 million for Koutoujian Playground and Woerd Avenue Environmental Mitigation Project and $771,600 for Department of Public Works relocation design (both advanced to first reading then tabled), plus confirmations of Kathleen B. McMenimen to Zoning Board of Appeals and John J.
O'Connor, III as Director of Veteran's Services for three years.
